Hello, I am Isabelle,

Registered Clinical Psychologist BSc, MSc, ClinPsyD.

I am a clinical psychologist registered with the UK Health and Care Professionals  Council. I hold a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of East Anglia and have completed subsequent training in Cognitive  Behavioural Therapy for trauma, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Mindfulness and Pain Reprocessing Therapy. My career has been varied, including working with people with a wide range of difficulties in the NHS and in private practice. I have also undertaken research and other academic work. I use this experience to bring the best evidence-based approaches to my clients. If you choose to work with me, I  make sure that your investment in therapy is spent on strategies that are proven to help people like you.

I feel very passionate about working with people struggling with chronic health conditions such as chronic pain, especially as there are effective therapeutic treatments for such conditions. Mainstream medicine is only beginning to recognise the powerful role of the brain in the development of chronic pain, anxiety, and depression, but decades of research and clinical experience have demonstrated its pivotal role in recovery. This gap between research and practice leaves patients cycling through traditional symptom-management treatments that often do not bring relief. Therefore, it is important that people like you have access to effective evidence-based therapies to reduce the negative impact that living with these conditions can have on your quality of life. I will support you in developing new coping skills and healthier ways of relating to yourself and others and together, we will create lasting change so that you can feel valued and loved for who you really are.
